Rock, Walk and Run 5K Winter Haven Florida

On Wednesday, February 20th, I flew to Orlando Florida to meet up with Mike, who had gone out earlier in the week to do some computer work for Pathways Community Church in Largo. We were attending Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven for their Mission Emphasis Month. Of course, while there, they had a 5K that I had to participate in.

"Nancy Watkins, 46, was among the adults entered in the 5K race. She had traveled to Winter Haven from Antigua, Guatemala, for a missions conference at Calvary Baptist Church and was given the registration as a gift.

Watkins is no running novice, having taken part in a half marathon back home and a five-kilometer run in St. Petersburg. She ran part of the half marathon in the rain, so the Saturday's weather was not a worry for her."

We had a great time with our new church family!! We flew back to Guatemala the Monday before the wedding on March 1st.
