10 KM in Antigua

Yet, another race......This being my second time to complete this one. However, this year, I recruited 3 more people, Nan, Jessica and Manolo. We arrived early at Central Park on the morning of November 9th to get our pictures taken by the sponsoring company, RunGuate.com. And also pick up our numbers and our token t-shirt. After listening to the Guatemalan National Anthem (which is 15 minutes long), we finally started out on the course. We left Antigua down the famous Arch Street, into San Felpe then into Jocotenango, back into Antigua on Santa Lucia Street onto the road to Cuidad Viaja with a left turn towards San Fransico Church, back into Antigua with a finish in Central Park. It was only a 10 KM (6.2 miles) and we were done within the hour and still made it in time for church. Mike was happy!!!
